    Russell Westbrook Expresses Gratitude to Los Angeles Clippers Before Joining Denver Nuggets

    Russell Westbrook has concluded his stint with the Los Angeles Clippers and has now joined the Denver Nuggets after a turbulent two-season spell with the Clippers, capped off by a trade to and eventual release by the Utah Jazz.

    The 35-year-old penned a heartfelt message on social media to express his gratitude towards the Clippers organization, supporters, and fellow players.

    “I want to extend my thanks to Mr. Ballmer and the entire Clipper Organization for the opportunities given,” he conveyed. “Thank you, Clipper Nation! It was a pleasure playing in the city I love in the presence of my family and friends,” shared Westbrook on his Instagram account.

    Westbrook also showed appreciation towards his fans during his tenure in Los Angeles. The nine-time All-Star emphasized the vital role played by the fans in keeping him motivated, referring to them as the “most devoted and incredible supporters in the world of sports.”

    “To ALL my fans! Your unwavering support truly means the world to me. Your encouragement fuels my drive and passion. I am fortunate to have the most devoted and incredible fans in the world of sports,” the statement elaborated further.

    A Fresh Start for Russell Westbrook

    It is worth noting that Westbrook’s journey to the Clippers began following his release by the Utah Jazz subsequent to his transfer from the LA Lakers in 2023.

    Throughout the 2023-24 season with the Clippers, Russell Westbrook featured in 68 games, registering an average of 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

    In the prior 2022-23 season, Westbrook appeared in 21 games for the Clippers, managing an average of 15.8 points. He also maintained averages of 4.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.

    The transition to Denver symbolizes a new starting point for Westbrook, as he aims to establish a promising synergy with Nikola Jokic.

    As Westbrook embarks on a new expedition with the Nuggets, fans are eager to witness how he adapts to the team’s playing style and whether he can exhibit his MVP-caliber performance.
