When asked about his aspirations for the MVP award this year, Tatum emphasized the balance of setting personal milestones while prioritizing team achievements.
“Everyone should have individual goals. We’re all mature enough to understand what team success entails; nothing should hinder what we’re trying to achieve. Whether teammates aim for All-Defensive, All-Star selections, or MVP, one should be able to pursue those goals. It signifies that you’re having a fantastic season,” Tatum remarked.
“I’m not after the MVP if it costs us games, but if I’m in that conversation, it indicates we’re among the top teams, I’m performing well, and everyone on the squad is thriving, aligning with our goals,” he added.
