Despite his packed schedule with the Milwaukee Bucks, Damian Lillard is not taking any downtime. After his on-court obligations, the star guard took to social media, sharing a striking three-word reaction to Jason Whitlock’s recent remarks about Joy Taylor.
Lillard’s comments were provoked by Whitlock’s series of statements regarding Taylor in light of a lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct against her colleagues. In particular, Whitlock suggested that Taylor attained her position through personal connections with influential men. This prompted Lillard to respond to what he deemed Whitlock’s audacity.
“In what world?” Lillard wrote on his Instagram story, tagging Whitlock’s comments concerning Joy Taylor.

Whitlock’s comments regarding Taylor ignited backlash, particularly following the lawsuit filed by former hairstylist Noushin Faraji. His critiques of Taylor’s character included some overtly objectifying remarks. Lillard, clearly unimpressed by Whitlock’s opinion, shared a screenshot of those remarks on social media, displaying his disapproval. It will be interesting to see if Whitlock responds to Lillard’s challenge.

Damian Lillard Surpasses Gary Payton on the NBA All-Time Scoring List
Before diving into the ongoing controversy, Dame enjoyed an excellent game night against the Toronto Raptors. Lillard made a significant leap on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, surpassing Hall of Famer Gary Payton to assume the No. 38 position. He played a crucial role in the Bucks’ 128-104 win over the Raptors, showcasing his skills.

Lillard scored 25 points, pulled down five rebounds, and converted 5 of 8 attempts from beyond the arc during the action-packed evening. Currently, Lillard is averaging 24.7 points and 7.4 assists per game. Despite a shaky start for the Bucks, who are positioned No. 5 in the Eastern Conference with a record of 18-16, Lillard continues to deliver substantial contributions.
As he ascends the scoring ranks, Lillard has set his sights on Clyde Drexler, who is just ahead at No. 37 with 22,195 points—only 376 points more than Lillard’s current total. After helping the Bucks secure the NBA Cup in December, Lillard’s presence is pivotal as Milwaukee looks to establish a potential partnership with star Jimmy Butler.
