Anthony Davis’ journey with the Dallas Mavericks has faced challenges following his offseason trade to the team. His first appearance was cut short due to an injury that kept him out for over a month. Since returning, there are concerns about his fitness and performance on the court.
Since his comeback, Davis has participated in four games but has not been able to find his rhythm. He has not surpassed the 20-point mark in any of those outings, and his shooting percentages—both field goal and three-point—have underperformed significantly. Across five games with the Mavericks, he is averaging 16.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
The Mavericks are set to face the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. However, Davis’ availability is in question as he is currently listed as probable due to a left adductor strain.

Anthony Davis Reflects on Mavericks’ Narrow Loss to Nets
The Dallas Mavericks experienced a close 113-109 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Anthony Davis was vocal about his frustration post-game. Despite the tight score, he believed the game was within reach and highlighted areas where the team fell short.
“We know the position that we are in. Definitely a tough loss. A game we should have won. Hats off to them, they shot the ball really, really well. We just gotta do a better job on the defensive end, also offensively especially late-game,” Davis stated.
Davis played for 28 minutes during the match, contributing 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, with a shooting accuracy of 5-for-10 from the field and missing his only attempt from three-point range. As a result of this defeat, the Mavericks’ record now stands at 37-29.
